Food can be a time capsule for the heart. There are flavors, dishes, and moments we remember vividly. Homaging a restaurant’s menu, capturing a family favorite, embellishing gifts, personalizing an invite, or adding a little artistry to a table’s decor are all part of what I do.

My name is Dot Johnson. I’ve helped create stories and brands for hotels and restaurants for nearly a decade. My ancestors were New Orleans chefs, Hudson Valley farmers, incomparable hosts, and eloquent toast-givers. I was raised in a restaurant, love turning gatherings into the gift of art, and never miss a chance to cook with my Mom.

  • Menus & Invitations: $150-300
    Dishes & Ingredients: $50-150

    Fees can vary depending on needs, use cases, and quantities. Collaborations with event managers, brands, and commercial hospitality partners are subject to additional usage and licensing agreements and fees.



  • These are my favorite items to create, so please take note of time needed to ensure your commission comes out beautifully and on time. Rush fees may apply for last minute requests.

  • This can depend on client needs.

    I can provide finished prints or originals as requested, in many cases I am providing finished graphic and print-ready design files for clients who wish to print in their preferred city / with a selected vendor.

    For personal commissions, finished prints or originals are by request.

  • Yes! Fees are a bit different for these items. I offer package and flat rates for cookbooks, magazine illustrations, or online publications depending on the nature of your project.

  • I try and respond immediately to inquiries, but it can take up to a week to submit a request and receive your commission.
